About the LCBA
Our History
The Lenawee County Bar Association was founded in 1895 by a group of dedicated attorneys who recognized the need for a professional organization to serve the legal community in southeastern Michigan.
For over 125 years, the LCBA has been committed to promoting the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and public service among our members. We have grown from a small group of 12 founding members to over 150 active attorneys today.
Our Mission
The mission of the Lenawee County Bar Association is to:
- Advance the science of jurisprudence
- Promote the administration of justice
- Uphold the honor and dignity of the legal profession
- Foster cordial relations among lawyers
- Provide service to the public
